A special note from our CEO, Senior Partner and Co-founder, Larry Johns

Thanks for taking the time to visit our website and clicking on “Who are we?”  We are a family owned and operated business.  WE are a group of entrepreneurial-minded people.  WE are not perfect, but WE make every effort to be perfect.  WE (Work Ethics) are what WE are all about.  We will make every effort to always do the right thing.

One of the questions I get asked a lot is “why Lighthouse?”.  This question isn’t about why choose Lighthouse, (I hope that has become obvious) but why the name “Lighthouse”?  I have a history of naming businesses with Lighthouse… Lighthouse Photography, Lighthouse Delivery Services, etc.  The short answer is because of my dad and my faith.  My father was a navy veteran who served aboard the USS Franklin during WWII.  He loved to sail but he didn’t get to do that much with 5 kids.  I remember one time he tried to teach us how to sail a small catamaran, it was… not good.  He finally got a chance to sail again when his boss took him sailing on Lake Erie.  One night when I was 12 years old, he went sailing and never came home.  A storm came up and he was knocked overboard.  At my dad’s funeral I learned what integrity and faith mean.  We lived in a small country town and went to a small country church. I remember leaving the church and heading to the cemetery, about 5 miles away.  I turned around in that black limousine and looked behind us and saw 5 miles of cars with their headlights on.  That’s when I realized that this was the kind of man I wanted to be; not rich, not famous, but a man with the highest integrity and the greatest faith.  My dad and my faith have been my Lighthouse, and I hope that we can, in some small way, be that Lighthouse for you and your business.
